How to set up

1. Wash the chambers, lid and spigot with warm soapy water and install the spigot on the lower chamber.
2. Prime the elements. Stretch the included PrimeEasy™ Universal Primer over your faucet, attach each element and run cold water through it to flush out carbon dust and push air out of the pores.
3. Install. Fit each element through the upper chamber with its washer and wing nut, hand tight. Plug any unused holes with the blocking plugs.
4. Run the red dye test. Add up to 1/8 tsp (10 drops) of red food coloring per gallon of system capacity to the upper chamber. If the filtered water comes out clear, everything is sealed and working. Use red coloring only - natural or organic dyes can give a false fail. Remove any PF-2 elements before testing.
5. Fill the upper chamber and enjoy. Gravity does the rest - no power or plumbing needed.
